Our Promoters

Mahendra Patel

Chairman and Managing Director

Mr. Mahendra N. Patel is a veteran entrepreneur and an established figure in the Indian plastics machinery industry. He completed his M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Administration from Cranfield University, UK, and returned to India with a strong technical and engineering orientation. His academic background, coupled with his early experience in machine building and manufacturing, provided the foundation for his subsequent entrepreneurial career and longstanding association with the plastics machinery sector.

Mr. Patel comes from a family with a strong engineering and industrial legacy. His father, Late Mr. N. K. Patel, was a mechanical engineer who had a distinguished professional career and was recognised as an early pioneer in the Indian plastics industry. He was instrumental in bringing advanced technology to the Indian plastics sector and in developing talent and leadership within the industry. Mr. Mahendra Patel has credited his father as an important influence in developing his own entrepreneurial spirit and interest in technology and manufacturing.

Mr. Patel subsequently established Mamata Machinery, where he has been closely associated with the development of machinery for the plastics processing and flexible packaging industry. His focus has been on machine design, indigenous technological development, quality, energy efficiency and improving machine performance. His contribution extends to the wider plastics machinery industry through his leadership and involvement with Plastindia Foundation and the Plastics Machinery Manufacturers Association of India (PMMAI), where he has contributed to promoting technological advancement and strengthening the competitiveness of Indian plastics machinery manufacturers.

Chandrakant Patel

Joint Managing Director

Chandrakant B. Patel is the Joint Managing Director of Mamata Machinery Limited and has been closely associated with the Company since its formative years. A Mechanical Engineer from L.D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, he brought his engineering and machine-building expertise into the business and took on challenging engineering assignments, contributing to the development of the Company’s machinery capabilities.

Mr. Patel has played a key role in building and developing Mamata Machinery’s flexible packaging machinery business. He took on the responsibility of building the Company with a vision of developing world-class products for global markets and has been instrumental in establishing the Company’s position among leading manufacturers of flexible packaging machinery. His emphasis on reliable products, consistent quality and customer support has been central to the Company’s approach and its relationship with customers.

With his extensive experience in machine engineering and continuing involvement in the Company, Mr. Patel remains closely engaged in the growth and development of Mamata Machinery. His technical expertise, understanding of machinery and focus on product reliability and quality have contributed to the Company’s capabilities and its evolution as a recognised manufacturer of plastics and flexible packaging machinery for global markets. He continues to serve as the Company’s Joint Managing Director.

Apurva Kane

Chief Executive Officer

Apurva N. Kane has been associated with Mamata Machinery Limited since 1986 and serves as the Chief Executive Officer. A Commerce graduate from the University of Delhi, he brings over 40 years of experience in sales, marketing, strategic planning, and business leadership. Prior to joining Mamata, he was associated with Kuwait Maritime and Mercantile Company.

Over the years, Mr. Kane has played a key role in strengthening Mamata's position as a globally recognized manufacturer of flexible packaging and converting machinery. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding the company's international presence, building long-term customer relationships, and fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, technological advancement, and sustainable growth, Mr. Kane continues to lead Mamata Machinery towards delivering world-class packaging solutions to customers across more than 90 countries.

Rajashekar Venkat

Group President | Mamata Machinery Limited

Rajashekar Venkat brings over 27 years of global leadership experience across manufacturing, industrial automation, and engineering-driven businesses. As Group President of Mamata Machinery, he leads the company's strategic initiatives focused on innovation, operational excellence, customer success, and sustainable growth.

Before joining Mamata, he held senior leadership positions with renowned multinational organizations, gaining extensive experience in business transformation, manufacturing excellence, and global market expansion. His expertise spans strategic planning, operational leadership, digital transformation, and developing high-performing teams across international markets.

Under his leadership, Mamata continues to strengthen its position as a global provider of blown film extrusion lines, converting machinery, pouch making systems, packaging machines, and flexible packaging automation solutions. His vision focuses on accelerating innovation, expanding global partnerships, and delivering advanced technologies that help customers improve productivity, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness. Rajashekar is passionate about building customer-centric organizations, fostering innovation-led growth, and creating a culture where people, technology, and engineering excellence work together to shape the future of flexible packaging.
